Sensor integration & cleaning “sensor nursing”-
The clear vision of tomorrow!
We are shaping the future of driver assistance systems! The development of technologies such as blind spot detection, lane-keeping assistance, and fully autonomous vehicles is progressing rapidly and remains a key focus of the automotive industry.
A crucial element of these systems is the use of sensors like LiDAR, RADAR, cameras, and ultrasound
Our mission: to ensure the optimal placement and functionality of these sensors.
Clear visibility is essential for the reliable performance of these systems.
One of our current research topics is the cleaning of optical sensors, such as cameras and LiDAR, in vehicles.
In this process, we consider the following factors for system design:
- Temperature resistance
- Material selection
- Ease of assembly
- Manufacturability
- Tightness
- Design harmony
For component integration, such as pumps, valves, and tubing, we focus on space efficiency, reduced weight, and minimal energy consumption
Additionally, we analyze alternative cleaning methods based on various types of contamination and simulate airflow to ensure optimal cleaning performance during driving.
Finally, we validate and secure the functionality of the cleaning system in the vehicle, considering functional safety (FUSI, FMEA) and cybersecurity requirements.
